Neely Kate and Barrett loved playing in all the empty boxes laying around. There were plenty of them since Christmas had just ended and there were moving boxes about. I turned one into a house for Neely Kate using an exacto knife. Neely Kate made curtains for it with strips of construction paper.
All Aboard!
Barrett checking out Millie. Neely Kate was, and still is, very protective of Millie.
Notice her leg trying to block Barrett.
I said she was protective. Barrett is determined and not bothered by Neely Kate. It is exactly what Neely needs.
Barrett finally gets to play with Millie once Neely Kate is away. All he really wanted was the hooks to the papysan.
Aha, success!
