Just Neely Kate

Learning how to ride her big girl bike.
Testing out her new rain boots.

Having a special tea party with Gogabelle.

Jumping in Barrett's trampoline at his 2nd birthday party.

Eating yogurt at the new yogurt place with Gogabelle and Aw Claire.

Big D Climb

Two dear friends and I participated in the Big D Climb January 29 in support of Leukemia. We climbed one of the tallest buildings in downtown Dallas, a total of 52 flights of winding stairs. My biggest complaint, no air in the stairway. I was able to run the first 7 at a fast pace but due to the way the stairs were the first few flights and the couple that was barely moving at flight 7 I had to walk. I did keep a strong pace the rest of the climb slowing at times. I wish I had done better but I was able to finish without stopping. My time, 14:59. Not to shabby. This is our picture after the climb. We look great if you ask me.

Fun Days at School

Neely Kate loves the things she makes at school that she has to continue wearing them at home. Here is the hat and necklace she made for the 100th day of school.
Zebra starts with the letter Z. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

I found this picture on the St. Paul's website.
I do not know what they were waiting for, probably the special snack.

Febuary Snow

Here we go again. Snow Days! We have been stuck at home for four days. At least today there was snow so we could get outside. We did walk to McDonald's yesterday just to get out. The driveway is nothing but a sheet of inch thick ice. Food is running low. I am going to have to try to break up the ice again today so we can venture out to the grocery store tomorrow. I am done Mom. This is the only place I can go without falling into the snow.
Mom, I can't see me legs. She did not last long after this picture.

So sweet all bundled up.

She didn't stay clean long.

All dressed for the Arctic air.

This is what we woke up to.
It is still snowing so we got 6 inches when only an inch was predicted.

Trampoline Trooper

Jumping makes my hair look crazy.
I am happy and I know it.

See me.

Here I come.

You got me mommy.

January Snow

Millie and I came home from church and our yard was covered with snow. It was raining when we went in for church and we came out to a winter wonderland. Love it! This is the first time that Millie has really experienced the snow. She was a newborn and infant for all the snow last year. I carried her in the baby wrap while Chris and Neely Kate made snowmen. This time she got to explore and explore she did. This is neat.
This is cold mommy.

I love this picture.

I'm going to get you mommy.

I think I like the way this tastes.

Fun Friday

Smores!

Christmas Day we decided to take advantage of the big green egg still being hot and make smores. Mom found these huge campfire sized marshmellows that were awesome. It took awhile for them to get gooey. One marshmellow was plenty to cover the graham cracker and then someone else's. Mine was so good that I made myself another one the following night. Millie thought they were great. I was not a fan of having to share mine.
She kept coming back for more.
Neely Kate liked hers OK. She did not finish hers and was not
interested in another one the next night.

Santa Came!

Millie's gifts from Santa
Neely Kate's gifts from Santa

Santa's note. The elfie stayed to make sure we saw it.

Neely Kate's soot kisses from Santa.

You can barely see Millie's kiss. She was too busy playing to care that she got kissed.

This year's Christmas eve hand-made pjs. This year we did Christmas trees with their hand prints. I wonder what we will do next year.

Visiting Santa

WE DID IT! WE FINALLY SAW SANTA WITHOUT CRYING!
We didn't see him last year because Millie was a newborn so that year didn't count.
We went to see Santa while we were in Birmingham for Thanksgiving.
]Neely Kate pranced right up there and told the old man exactly what she wanted, "a pink princess bike." Nothing else. I guess Santa had better bring that for sure. Millie, I was shocked, didn't cry. I wonder if it was because she was with her sister. I liked getting the pictures made here, they let you take your own pictures without having to purchase, we did anyway.
Dallas should take some lessons.
Neely Kate telling Santa her wish.

Christmas Eve

Neely Kate and Millie, with the help of Mary Claire talking to Will, is putting out the food she made for the reindeer. We normally make the food together but this year she made it at school. I am so glad we put it out because the reindeer were hungry. They ate every single piece.

The best present of all times!
Daniel, Ashley, Mary Claire, Chris and I, along with our children, surprised mom with a plate that was hand painted to match Nene and Godaddy's house. I spent a month gathering pictures and talking to the artist to create this special gift. I have never been so excited to give a gift before. It was worth it to see mom's reaction and tears when she opened it. Dad said he was never going to touch it because he didn't want to be blamed if anything ever happened to it. Where is it now? Wrapped carefully in a closet until the house is done being renovated.
I will be curious to see where it goes.
Neely Kate and Millie showing off their dogs. Neely Kate's are on her feet.
Millie's scarf.
I decided that I too could make this scarf and ended up making about 15 of them.
I made $90 thanks to seeing and buying this one scarf.
I think Millie loves this dog. Christmas with her this year was much more fun than last year when she was 6 weeks old.
